MIXED MEDIA
Life is a mixed media experience. Every human face is in continual change. We contribute to our own transformation through cosmetics, plastic surgery, tattoos and piercing. Underlying any of our creative interventions, the slow forces of time, gravity, and disease create non-negotiable changes eventually leading to death, decay, and the residual sculpture of the skull. I draw, paint, collage, and use various needlework techniques to express these alterations which I have witnessed in its most severe variations during my 34 year career as a registered nurse.
